The following translations are identified as public domain in the United States: American Standard Version, Geneva Bible 1599, King James Version, World English Bible, Open English Bible, Young’s Literal Translation, Darby Bible, Douay-Rheims 1899, Webster’s Bible, Revised Version 1895, Bible in Basic English, Tyndale New Testament, Brenton English Septuagint and JPS Tanakh 1917.

Verum Bible does not claim ownership of these public-domain Scripture texts.

The King James Version is public domain in the United States, but it may be subject to Crown rights or other restrictions in the United Kingdom.

Original-language study data

The Study Engine’s Hebrew and Greek word rows are reformatted from STEPBible Data, based on work at Tyndale House Cambridge and released under CC BY 4.0. The data is credited to STEP Bible with a link to the STEPBible.org source. Verum’s static export preserves source identifiers, omits fields the source does not provide, and does not generate lexical claims.

The IPA pronunciation transcriptions are generated by Verum Bible and are not fields supplied by STEPBible. Greek uses Randall Buth’s documented Imperial Koine pronunciation convention. Hebrew uses a broad reconstruction based on Geoffrey Khan’s work on the Tiberian Masoretic pronunciation tradition. These deterministic transcriptions are historical reconstructions—not a claim that one universally certain biblical pronunciation can be recovered—and are omitted when Verum cannot derive them reliably.
